future in every seed

This project is a sub-activity within the micro-support ”Rusta Bygden-fund”.

About the project

Sävsjöbygdens garden association wants to conduct an open lecture evening about preparedness gardening to strengthen local food preparedness in a time of increased concern for crisis and uncertainty. Through a lecture with garden inspirer Johanna Hjärtfors, the association aims to spread knowledge about how individuals can grow parts of their own food in a sustainable and practical way.

The project targets both the association's approximately 80 members and the public, and is carried out in collaboration with Sävsjö library. The support is sought to cover costs for speakers, travel, venue rental, refreshments, and purchase of seeds. The hope is that the project will lead to increased engagement in gardening and preparedness locally, as well as contribute to continued knowledge dissemination through future activities, such as the association's planned gardening flea market.

Report

A full house evening about preparedness gardening in Sävsjö

How can hobby gardeners contribute to Sweden's preparedness? That was the starting point when Sävsjöbygdens garden association carried out the project Future in every seed with the micro-support Rusta Bygden-fund.

The result was a well-attended, appreciated lecture on preparedness gardening and a clear proof that the issue is timely.
