Close a project

Approaching the end date? Is it time to apply for the final payment and write a final report? Then you have come to the right place!

Congratulations now you are almost there!

Now you have contributed to making your place a little better! You should of course celebrate that – but first, there is some administrative work left. When it is time to close the project, we advise you to prepare both your application for project support and your decision. Then you know that you are actually reporting on everything you promised in the application, and that you have fulfilled all parts of the decision. It is important that you have met the purpose and goal of the project. Then you should apply for the final payment, to receive the funds, and write a final report. We at the office are just a call away and support you along the way. Contact us if you have questions! Once the final report is submitted, you cannot make changes or add anything.

Micro support

Are you reporting a micro-support?

Our smaller supports do not have the same requirements, so if you are closing a micro-support, you do not need to read further on this page. You get it a bit easier! The right information and forms on how to proceed can be found on the relevant micro-support's page.

Contact us for a review

When you close the project, it is time to apply for the final payment. You do this at My pages on The Swedish Board of Agriculture's website. There you will also find instructions on how an application for payment works.

Remember to contact us at the Leader office before before you submit the application for the final payment. It is your responsibility to keep track of your finances so that you follow the decision, but we can help review the application before you submit it. We do this to reduce the risk of you reporting expenses that are not approved. Such errors cannot be corrected afterwards and may lead to deductions – that is, less money in project support.

You should also write a final report, where you will answer a number of questions. If you are unsure about any question, you can always reach out to us and we will explain.

Keep track of the end date

Your decision states the project's end date. You need to apply for the final payment no later than this date. You do this in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service. If you apply too late, you will receive a deduction on the granted support. Remember to contact us well in advance so that we have time to review your application for the final payment before you submit it.

If for any reason you need more time in the project, it is important that you apply for an extension before the project period expires. Contact us and we will help you with that.

Tell us about the project

We – and many others – are curious about how it has gone for you! Please share the results of your project with others, so that more can learn from what you have done. Also continue to inform that you have received Leader support – it can lead to more people realizing their dreams through us!

When there is an opportunity, we would love to visit you. We also have a communicator who is happy to inform about your project in our channels.

Advice and information

Be careful with the payment proofs

When you apply for the final payment, you need, in addition to invoice copies, also payment proof showing that the payments have gone through. A payment proof can be downloaded from the online bank, often you can click on “Historical payments” or similar. The payment proof should include the following:

  • Payment date
  • Paid amount
  • Sender (which account the money was withdrawn from)
  • Recipient (that the payment has gone to the same plusgiro, bankgiro, or account number as stated on the invoice)
  • That the payment has been completed. “Immediate payment” is not considered a completed payment.
