This project is a sub-activity within the micro-support ”Up to us!”.

About the project

Two music-interested girls in Alvesta want to create a safe and fun meeting place for high school youth who like rock and metal. The idea is to organize an evening at Folkets Hus with a movie screening, café hanging, live music, and DJ – an alcohol-free event where young people can socialize, feel welcome, and find new friends. To carry out the evening, support is needed for venue rental, technology, staff, film rights, a concert with a local band, as well as snacks and drinks. The goal is to create a safe environment for young people who otherwise lack a place to be, and if the evening is successful, the organizers hope to continue with similar music events in the future.

About Up to us!

Micro-support is a smaller sum of money that is easier to apply for and quicker to get a response on. Up to us! is our special support for those aged 13-25 who, either individually or within their association, want to try something new and contribute to a more attractive countryside for other young people.

– It didn't seem like anyone else would do anything, so why couldn't we? Then mom found out that young people who want to organize events can apply for grants from Leader Linné, so we went for it.”
