Leader Linné Småland now presents the complete compilation of the program period 2014–2022, a decade of local power, engagement, and development. In the report, we highlight results, experiences, and stories from the 410 projects and micro-supports that have been carried out throughout our area. During the period, associations, companies, village communities, municipalities, and others have together created new meeting places, strengthened entrepreneurship, developed rural services, and driven innovative ideas forward. The results show the power that is unleashed when people come together – something that characterizes the entire leader method.
Some of the results:
- 137 completed projects and 273 micro-supports
- 79 new companies and operations
- 45 new full-time positions and 37 seasonal positions
- 310 new or renewed meeting places
- 622 new networks and collaborations
- 51 tested innovative ideas and processes
- Over 21,000 participants in activities and more than 28,000 visitors to meeting places
The projects span everything from activity parks, cultural initiatives, zoos, and youth investments to business development, sustainable tourism, and new service solutions in rural areas. They show that locally led development makes a real difference – both for people and for places. At the same time, the period has been characterized by strong voluntary engagement. Thousands of hours have been spent shaping the future of rural areas, and many projects would not have become a reality without that very power from local enthusiasts.
