Småland engagement

0 – a pre-study

Voluntary engagement is changing and Ljungby municipality wants to create a common meeting place for associations, businesses, and community actors. The pre-study builds on experiences from TågCentralen and aims to produce a concrete decision-making basis.

About the project

Associations today have difficulty reaching out, recruiting members, and creating long-term collaborations. In Ljungby municipality, there is a need for a common place where associations, businesses, and community actors can collaborate, share resources, and make activities visible.

The project ”Småland engagement 2.0” is a pre-study that aims to produce a decision-making basis for such a meeting place. The work builds on experiences from TågCentralen, which has served as a gathering point for various initiatives for several years. The pre-study includes dialogue meetings, external visits, as well as legal and technical analyses and culminates in a report. The project is anchored with the municipality and a broad network of associations and small businesses.

External visits are planned to established arenas such as the House of Associations in Norrköping, Trelleborg, and Karlskoga to gather inspiration and create a model that strengthens local engagement and collaboration.
