The old Häljaryds school in Gårdsby parish will be renovated and developed into an accessible meeting place for the local residents. Through investments in an accessibility-adapted toilet, renovation of the kitchen, and installation of an air heat pump, better conditions for association life, activities, and social community year-round are created.

The project will provide everyone in the locality with a natural gathering place for, among other things, cultural activities and meetings. At the same time, local preparedness is strengthened as the school can function as a safe gathering point in case of, for example, power outages, extreme weather, or other societal disturbances. After the project's implementation, activities such as ping pong evenings, senior meetings, children's activities, gymnastics, flea markets, and association meetings are planned.
